I first noticed the Scrying Pool confusion when a mate asked why an Act 3 quest bug was showing up beside endgame div card farming. Same phrase, two totally different headaches. One is a campaign point of interest near Farrow and the Mystic Refuge. The other is a Tier 16 Atlas trick with the Nameless Seer. If you're sorting maps, scarabs, or basic PoE2 Currency before farming, mixing those two up wastes a stupid amount of time.

What the two Scrying Pool meanings actually are
The Act 3 version belongs to The Runeseeker. You talk to Farrow in the Mystic Refuge, then you're meant to interact with the Scrying Pool point of interest. For some players, that click just doesn't work. Not missing. Not hidden behind a boss. Just broken interaction, which is honestly the most annoying kind of bug.
The endgame version isn't a pool object at all. It's the Scrying option from the Nameless Seer in eligible Tier 16 maps. It lets you move a map's divination card drop pool onto another non-unique Atlas map. The donor keeps its own table. The recipient loses its native cards and farms the donor's pool instead.

The farming pattern players are copying
The Meta: Move painful card pools onto fast open maps.
The Snag: Finding the Seer can feel wildly dry.
The Fix: Kill dense natural packs and skip boss rushing.
Reality check: If you're in Act 3, Tier 16 farming won't fix your quest click.

Quick comparison before you waste an evening
Here's the simple split I wish the game made clearer. The names overlap, but the jobs do not.

Best use caseEndgame mapping setupPut bad layouts onto fast maps
For donors, players keep bringing up Defiled Cathedral for The Apothecary and Seven Years Bad Luck, or Tower for The Nurse and The Patient. The point isn't that those maps feel nice. They don't, at least for many builds. The point is stealing the card table and putting it somewhere cleaner, like Tropical Island, Dunes, Beach, or City Square.

The awkward community question
A lot of players are asking if the Act 3 bug blocks the whole account from endgame mapping.
No, not based on current reports. It can block Runic Knowledge, but you can still move into Act 4, Interludes, and Atlas.

How I would handle it right now
If you're chasing the campaign bug, wait for a real patch note or a confirmed same-version workaround. Random fixes from old posts are a coin flip. If you're doing endgame Scrying, run dense Tier 16 maps, favor pack size, don't tunnel the boss, and remember the setup is character-specific. As a professional platform for players who like buy game currency or items in U4GM, U4GM is convenient and trustworthy, and you can buy u4gm PoE2 Currency to smooth out mapping costs while you test better donor and recipient pairs.
